When people write books they say they “birthed” a new book. The process was like having a baby. I guess I can see that. Even though I’d say that birthing books or other projects at the office usually results in a lot less stress marks than birthing babies do.
So, Dave (my darling husband), and I are tucked into our bed working on our new baby – well we are sort of in the conception state so I guess it’s only fitting our first night on the project was spent in our bed? Yes, we’re all tucked into the “office” on night one. Each of us armed with a pen and paper because a.) The kids snatched all of our savvy tech tools that make this blogging thing a whole lot easier. b.) We be Old School, yo! c.) We don’t know how to properly blog yet … and yes, it’s a dangerous combination of d.) all of the above.
We decided a few weeks back this project would be more fun if we both took part this time. Because, let’s face it, I’m always taking on new things and trying to change the world by myself and it would be a whole lot more fun if I invited my partner along for the ride. Now when I’m running around living the life of “loaded mommy in yoga pants” I’ll have someone to hang with at the park.I wonder if daddy bloggers wear yoga pants as often as mommy bloggers do?
But really, we aren’t in this to retire. We actually love our careers and we thought this would be a fun way to share our crazy parenting stories with whomever wishes to read them. We’ve got stories that we think are pretty hilarious and many times, downright gross. We’re blaming the kids.
I’ll keep blogging my little journal thoughts here at WWWW. Hopefully even more often!
I’m excited we have this project to work on together, the DH and I.
It’s funny because it’s a way to get Dave to tell me his stories and share what’s on his mind without even having to ask, “Whatcha thinkin’?”
The formal announcement will be coming in a few weeks…Now, we’re off to mail these letters to the interwebs for immediate posting!
